Dr. Maria Murad is a pediatric dental specialist in Pickering and Ajax with several years of advanced training in children’s dentistry. HiFive Kids Dental is limited to children’s dentistry and orthodontics
Dr. Murad is a proud Torontonian who grew up in downtown Toronto and relocated to the east end of the city while in high school. She has much love for the east end community which is why she has chosen this location to serve the dental needs of the kids in this community.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Murad is a graduate of the University of the Toronto having majored in Biology and Psychology. She has always taken great interest in child psychology and knew she wanted to work with children as well as with her hands. She completed her professional dental education at the University of Detroit Mercy and worked as a general dentist for two years before her love of children’s dentistry prompted her to pursue her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Centre. Dr. Murad is well trained in all aspects of children’s dentistry and her practice philosophy is based on evidence-based science as dictated by the guidelines of the Canadian and American Academies of Pediatric Dentistry. She is steadfast in her pursuit of the latest advancements in Pediatric dentistry by annually taking numerous Continuing Education classes on these subjects so that she may have these tools available to best treat the children in the office.
Credentials: Dr. Murad is a Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Board-Certified diplomate in pediatric dentistry of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of both the Canadian and American Academies of Pediatric Dentistry, Ontario Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Ontario Dental Association and Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Outside of the Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Murad is a wife and a proud mother of two little ones, Zayd and Kenzy. You might even see them causing some chaos at the office one of these days! She loves traveling to new destinations with her family, enjoying different cuisines and loves to read, cook and bake on her down time. Dr. Murad wants the office to feel like your dental home and like you are visiting a good friend so please come join us so we can take care of all your child’s dental needs!
